Just an update to show the progress on "Photo ID Required." I have been working long hours to get the transparency/opacity of the paint right while balancing the high contrast. As with the other works in the series am aiming for a painterly treatment of the canvas with a precise representation of form. Also, trying to maintain a balance between detail and ambiguity in the forms themselves. I am interested in conveying a compelling image that allows room for the audience to bring their own experience and ideas to the canvas; as we all do that regardless so I may as well let the painting be equipped to handle this dynamic. And to follow-up on an earlier post; I am very pleased thusfar with the orange and green.
